Filter Mesh Product Introduction
Nylon Mesh
- Material
- Nylon
- Description
- Nylon is the second most produced material in the world and the second most used material in our company.
It is widely used in clothing as one of its characteristics is that it can be dyed easily in spite of being a synthetic fiber.
*Synthetic fiber:A fiber made from a synthetic resin called "polyamide", which uses petroleum as the main raw material
Often compared with polyester, nylon has higher water absorption rate, unrivaled strength resistant to cyclic deformation, is robust against friction and bending, and is highly elastic and wrinkle-resistant as it's characteristics.
It also features resistance to chemicals and oils, as well as being less likely to be damaged by mold and insects.
- Applications
- Automotive filters, filters for agricultural instruments, filtration of paints, filtration of powder and liquid chemicals, acoustic speaker nets, etc.
- Characteristics
-
Heat Resistance |
Softening point : 230-235℃ Melting point : 250-260℃ |
Specific Gravity |
1.14 |
Chemical Resistance |
Dissolves with partial decomposition in concentrated hydrochloric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, and filtered nitric acid. Shows almost no decrease in strength with 50% caustic soda solution and 28% ammonia solution. |
Weather Resistance |
Slight decrease in strength and minor yellowing in some cases. |

Polyester Mesh
- Material
- Polyester
- Description
- Polyester is the top produced material in the world and the most used in our company.
As polyester fiber has thermoplasticity and superior shape-memory property, it is a very popular material also in the apparel industry.
Polyester is one of the strongest fibers and remains resistant even if it gets wet and exposed to friction.
Its low moisture absorbency prevents it from expanding, contracting, becoming wrinkled, and it also features resistance to chemicals, as well as being less likely to be damaged by insects and molds.
- Applications
- Gasoline filters, filters for water cleaners, acoustic speaker nets, filters for vacuum cleaners, medical filters, etc.
- Characteristics
-
Heat Resistance |
Softening point : 238-240℃ Melting point : 255-260℃ |
Specific Gravity |
1.38 |
Chemical Resistance |
Highly resistant and shows little to no change after exposure to concentrated hydrochloric acid, 75% sulfuric acid, concentrated filtered nitric acid, 10% caustic soda solution, and 28% ammonia solution |
Weather Resistance |
Highly resistant and shows little to no change |
Insect and Mold Resistance |
Completely resistant |

Polyethylene Mesh
- Material
- Polyethylene
- Description
- Polyethylene is suitable for mass-produced products because of it's low cost.
As this material is strong, chemical-resistant, and hygienic, it can be used for applications related to the environment and foods that directly contact the human body.
As polyethylene is the second lightest fiber, next to polypropylene, it has low heat resistance and no water and moisture absorption properties.
However, it is also characterized as being resistant to low-temperature environments and does not deform at temperatures down to -20℃.
- Applications
- Powder sieve, filters for chemicals, filters used in food production processes, activated charcoal cartridge filters for medical devices, etc.
- Characteristics
-
Heat Resistance |
Softening point : 100-115℃ Melting point : 125-135℃ |
Specific Gravity |
0.94-0.96 |
Chemical Resistance |
Highly resistant and shows little to no change after exposure to concentrated hydrochloric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, and concentrated caustic soda solution |
Weather Resistance |
Deteriorated by light (sun light and ultraviolet light) irradiation |
Insect and Mold Resistance |
Completely resistant |

Polypropylene Mesh
- Material
- Polypropylene
- Description
- Polypropylene has the smallest specific gravity of 0.91 among all fibers and is also very strong fiber.
It is used in many products that we encounter in our daily lives, such as automotive components, home electric appliance components, medical devices, daily necessaries, and foods as it offers excellent workability and is visually transparent and highly chromogenic.
It also has no water and moisture absorption properties and features excellent moisture retention and chemical resistance due to it's low heat conductivity.
- Applications
- Water purifiers, filters for tea strainers, filters mainly for plumbing products, etc.
- Characteristics
-
Heat Resistance |
Softening point : 140-160℃ Melting point : 165-173℃ |
Specific Gravity |
0.90-0.92 |
Chemical Resistance |
Shows little to no change after exposure to concentrated hydrochloric acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, filtered nitric acid, concentrated caustic soda solution, and concentrated ammonia solution |
Weather Resistance |
Deteriorated by light (sun light and ultraviolet light) irradiation (However, PP10 and PP16 are weather-resistant) |
Insect and Mold Resistance |
Completely resistant |
